More than 30 million inkjet cartridges are dumped each year in the UK (1800 tonnes) - the same weight as 18 Blue Whales.
Worldwide this figure increases to over 375 million.
Statistics reveal that only 5% of all empty inkjet cartridges are currently being recycled.
More and more inkjet cartridges than ever are being thrown away each year. Email has increased the amount of paper used in offices by almost 40%.
Plastics used in inkjet cartridges can take over 10 centuries (1000 years!) to decompose
90ml of oil is used to produce each inkjet cartridge.
In the last six months alone, inkjet cartridge recycling has saved more than 50 million litres of oil. This is more oil than what was tragically spilled by the Exxon Valdez in Alaska's Prince William Sound in 1989.
Carbon-based gas is a major cause of global warming. Inkjet cartridge recycling helps reduce carbon emissions as well as to conserve resources and reduce waste.

How does it work?

1. Start collecting your empty inkjet cartridges.
Start by asking all your friends and colleagues to stop throwing away all their empty inkjet cartridges. Find an empty cardboard box and simply ask them to save each empty inkjet cartridge as they replace them.
A complete list of all the empty inkjet cartridges we currently purchase, together with the purchase prices is detailed at the bottom of this page.

2. Pack your empty inkjet cartridges.
Carefully pack your cartridges to avoid damage during transit. We recommend each cartridge should be individually wrapped using newspaper.

3. Include your details.
Please include the following details with your empty inkjet inkjet cartridges:
• Contact Name.
• Your full address.
• Telephone number.
• A list (including quantities) of the empties being returned.
• Details for payment - Please specify individual name, company name, organisation, charity, school or fundraising project.

4. How do I return the empty inkjet cartridges?

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept Laser Toner Cartridges or EPSON Inkjet Cartridges (See list below for qualifying cartridges)

6. Payment.
Upon receipt of your empties we will pay you by your preferred payment method. Most people choose to be paid by Paypal as this is the quickest way to receive the reward for the fruits of your labour!
